Construction Updates
Palafox Construction Milestone Reached
The Palafox portion of the project was completed on May 22, 2026, two days ahead of the incentivized completion date. With this milestone achieved, construction activities are now shifted to the remaining side streets throughout the project area.
Palafox Street Reopens to Traffic
As of June 1, 2026, Palafox Street is fully open to vehicular traffic. Free, on-street parking will remain available until October, at which time paid parking operations will resume.

What Remains Open
Sidewalks and businesses along Palafox remain open throughout construction, and east–west crosswalks to provide reliable pedestrian access, when construction allows. Nearby parking—including 412 free on-street parking spaces—also remains accessible.
